Terms of Service
Last updated: March 2026
1. The Service
taxmcp.io provides AI-powered tax code research through an MCP server. By using the service, you agree to these terms.
All data comes from official U.S. government publications — the Internal Revenue Code, Treasury Regulations, IRS Publications, and Revenue Rulings. These are public domain sources.
2. Accounts
You must be at least 18 years old. The free tier doesn't require an account. Paid plans require registration with accurate information.
You're responsible for keeping your passwords and credentials secure. If you suspect unauthorized access, contact us at .
3. Acceptable Use
Use the service through the provided MCP interface. Don't scrape, redistribute bulk data, circumvent rate limits, or use the service for anything illegal.
Rate limits apply to all plans. Exceeding them may result in temporary throttling.
4. Intellectual Property
The tax law content returned by the service is public domain — you're free to use it however you like.
Our search technology, indexing, and interface are proprietary. You may not copy or reverse-engineer them.
5. Not Legal Advice
taxmcp.io is a research tool, not a substitute for professional tax advice. Always consult a qualified tax professional before making tax-related decisions.
The service is provided "as is." We strive to keep data current with official sources, but there may be delays between when law changes and when it's reflected here.
6. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, taxmcp.io is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.
Our aggregate liability is limited to the greater of $100 or the amount you've paid us in the preceding 12 months.
7. Cancellation
You can cancel anytime. Paid plans remain active through the end of the billing period. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms.
8. Changes
We'll give at least 30 days' notice before material changes take effect. Continued use after that constitutes acceptance.
9. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware. Any disputes will be resolved in Delaware state or federal courts.
